If you’re here in this little kinky corner of the world, you probably have an idea of what bondage entails. But maybe not. Or maybe you have a rough idea but want to know more. It’s possible you think it’s all suspension bars, head to toe rope, and impossible knots and positions.
Actually…not quite. I’ve written about bondage a few times, but Carvaka Sex Toys always has such interesting content, I’m happy to share their latest on bondage. Below is quick video (good for showing your still-vanilla partner who’s freaking out about this “bondage” thing you want to do). Scroll further down for a link to a really comprehensive post on their website.
While most people have at least heard the term BDSM, particularly with the light shone on the area by the Fifty Shades Darker movie, many people are still somewhat in the dark as to exactly what it is, why people enjoy it and how to get started. Well if you don’t know your subs from your doms, your spreader bars from your Wartenberg Pinwheels, fret not, we have produced this all you need to know video to get you up to speed! Enjoy!

Bondage for Beginners
Just a thought… people tend to think about suspension when rope bondage springs to mind. Yes, it is a part of the scene but takes quite some practice.
What one forgets is that pure rope bondage without the suspension stuff is much more rewarding when it comes to D/s. Okay, some well-thought floor suspension is fun too. But it does increase the risks on (nerve) injuries. Bondage can be much fun but learn the ropes before you leave the safe haven of the relative simplicity of cuffs and a spreader bar.
I agree. I would even say to start smaller than that – handcuffs, silk scarves, etc before going into rope.
