To prove that I am capable of taking good advice, I tried a writing prompt from oneword.com. One word, 60 seconds to write. Harder than I thought it would be.
He moved within her with the steadiness of a turbine…in and out, in and out, over and over again. She sobbed at the intensity. Could she handle anymore of this? It was ecstasy. It was overwhelming to the senses. She needed him. He overwhelmed her. Unceasing, he drove her over the edge, and she screamed at her release.
Nice! I might have to give this a go. Though the thought of a 60 second time limit is a bit daunting to me. You did well.
I cheated a little…I looked at what today’s word was and then read a few of the other posts. But I basically reconfirmed what the word meant, got an image in my mind, and wrote from there.
Ah, still nice. I’ll have to attempt it later I think. Did you like the challenge of it? Like did it get you going creatively? I like stuff that forces me outside my writing comfort zone.
It was interesting…and I enjoyed it, but I think the fact that an image came to mind immediately helped. Not sure how I’d feel if I sat there stumped on a word…might not be so enjoyable…lol
