Sooooo, this week has been a long week – for reasons that will become more clear in the upcoming podcast episode. Basically, I hibernated for a few days. I managed to come up with kinky fuckery for Masturbation Monday but that’s about it.

Hell, I meant to share a book review this week and it didn’t happen.
And then I started feeling better, more like myself. Got a little bit of my zip back, in a manner of speaking.
That’s when I realized I’ve been doing all kinds of things around the website and haven’t said much about it. Uhhhh…oops!
The New Look
Even if you only ever read posts from your phone, the changes should be visible (scroll to the very end of the page on your phone and choose “Desktop view” – I promise there will be no need for pinching or scrunching.)
Yep, I updated the site, chose a new theme, picked a color scheme that incorporates my love of purple, and reorganized things a bit.
The “Start Here” page is for anyone new to the website.
I now have an entire section of the site devoted specifically to BDSM (duh, right?).
And if you’re looking for information on how to market yourself or how to get some marketing for your business, I created a “Sexy Marketing” section. (No, I’m not good with names, but it was the best I could come up with to encompass All The Things.)

From your desktop/laptop view, you’ll see a few extra options above the blog header: Shop, My Account, Cart. In mobile view, you can get to it in the menu under Erotic Fiction where it says “Books by Kayla Lords.”

Oh, that’s just a little something I call: you can buy my books directly through the website!
Here’s how it works:
- PDF copies are available for purchase and download (for a lower price) directly from me.
- The print version of any book I have (so far only Kinky Love Notes) is available for purchase. It’ll be autographed and mailed to you – and yes, I believe I can ship it internationally without making anyone spend a fortune.
- And if you prefer Kindle, Nook, All Romance, Smashwords, or iBooks – you can still buy them there, too! I’ve provided the links for you.

I have a SSL certificate for the site now. That’s a thing that keeps info safe – and that’s about all I know. It’s an ongoing process to get the site converted over, and it’s still in the early stages – so bear with me.
I use Stripe for the payment gateway – they make sure your credit card info is kept secure. Why Stripe and not PayPal? Because PayPal is weird about “adult sites” and since I’ve been deemed “porn” by enough internet filters, I don’t want to take any chances.
That being said, I do have PayPal and if you ever want to buy something from me and need to use it, email me directly, and I’ll give you the email address for it.
I really am a big girl now because I have a Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Terms of Service.
