Sir Fixes Everything #excerpt #writing

Another week, another excerpt. Remember, this is completely unedited!

“I hate you!” Footsteps stomped up the stairs, followed by the creak of bedsprings and the plaintive wail of abject misery, the kind of misery only felt by four-year olds in the midst of a tantrum.

“Well, that’s unfortunate. I still love you.” Katie knew Olivia’s behavior was just a phase, but it was one phase she could live without.

Rubbing the back of her neck, Katie sighed heavily, her own feelings of misery surfacing now that she was alone in a living room that could only be described as “wrecked.” Sir was due to arrive any minute and her home looked as if a hurricane had hit. Yeah, Hurricane Olivia, category four.

Was she foolish for thinking she could spend the summer telecommuting for work? Had she been too optimistic about the supposed freedom a new schedule would mean for them both? Was this worth the money she was saving on daycare? Would she be able to establish a routine at all? Was she just crazy?

Thoughts swirled through her mind, punctuated with self-recriminations for her own foolishness. She looked around the living room, ready to concede defeat in face of My Little Ponies, Barbies, and pink Legos. Why did I let my mother buy Legos?

Turning towards the kitchen, Katie felt like anything but her Sir’s Babygirl. She needed to be Babygirl in a way she couldn’t fully describe, needed to be vulnerable, safe, protected, and fully dominated by her Sir. Katie sighed to herself. First, though, she needed to start dinner since she’d promised Sir a home-cooked meal.

She looked at the kitchen in dismay. In the battle with Olivia, she’d forgotten the mountain of dishes, the clogged sink, and the roast that should have gone into the oven an hour ago.

“God damn it!” Katie buried her face in her hands, determined not to cry or scream. She could still hear Olivia’s sobbing, softer now.

The door bell rang. Sir! Katie felt a mixture of relief and stress.

“I’m so glad you’re here. But I’m so sorry too. The place is a mess. Olivia’s had one tantrum after the other this after – no nap, which is all my fault – and I don’t even have dinner started. I know you expected some-.”

Sir placed one finger over Katie’s lips, silencing her. “Can I get in the front door, please, Babygirl?”

Katie nodded. At the sound of Sir’s voice, she felt a sense of peace fill her. One wish had been granted at least. She was his Babygirl from the first word. He smiled as a look of calm washed over her face. Sir replaced his finger with his mouth, kissing her softly.

Babygirl looked into his eyes, leaning in for more. Chuckling to himself, Sir wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close, and devoured her mouth with his. Her lips parted, her tongue meeting his. He lapped at her tongue. Sharp teeth teased her lips. She responded with her entire body, wrapping her arms around his neck, standing on tip-toe, as if she would crawl inside of him if she could.

Sir pulled away, smiling at Babygirl’s swollen lips. He gazed into her eyes, taking in the distant look that replaced the stressed one that greeted him moments before. Taking her hand, he lead her into the living room.

Sir whistled between his teeth. “Damn. I didn’t realize one little girl could do so much damage.”

With a slightly calmer tone than before, Babygirl recounted the afternoon’s adventures. As she spoke, tension filled her voice again. Sir snaked his hands over the back of her head, into her hair, and pulled. Babygirl’s voice trailed off into a whimper.

“Shhhhh, sweet girl. Sir is here now. We’ll deal with this together, ok?” Babygirl nodded, squirming and fidgeting. “Is something wrong, Babygirl?”

Babygirl blushed a deep red. “You make me squirmy, Sir, when you do that.”

“Do what, Babygirl?” Sir didn’t hide the amusement from his voice. “This?” He gripped her hair tighter and pulled her head back until she was looking into his eyes. She nodded, whimpering again.

I hope to have the next one out very, very soon. In the meantime, make sure to get your copy of the first book to meet Sir and Babygirl and learn how they met.
