I Didn’t Know I Needed #Inspiration Until I Found It

Most of us don’t know we need a bit of inspiration until it smacks us in the face. You can choose to play the videos or not – we all have that ability to decide one way or another. I hope you choose to allow yourself to possibly be inspired like I was…

And then of course, there’s this one – inspiring in a different way…

I’ve got so many ideas percolating in my head. I keep waiting for the exact right moment, and there’s no such thing. I constantly worry about failing, and that’s a real possibility. But what if I succeed? What then? The sky’s the limit, ya know?

But it’s not just about what I can do for myself.

What can I do for the world around me? For me, it starts with not allowing fear of rejection to stop me from saying what I think or doing what’s right. Inaction is often worse than a bad action.

When I was in Washington DC in May, I sat in a hotel restaurant, reading emails, eating breakfast – by myself. A couple was seated at an adjacent table. Their server asked why they were in DC. They replied that day was their wedding day. They were both women.

I wanted to lean over and say, “Congratulations!” I wanted to tell them how happy I was for them. Something held me back – fear of I-don’t-know-what. What if my words had helped them in some way? Now I’ll never know. I have promised myself I won’t let opportunities pass by my again. I just need to be brave.

  • Never be afraid of failure. Failure teaches us what not to do. As I recall, Thomas Edison said something along the lines that the 999 times he tried and failed to invent the electric light were not 999 failures; it was just that inventing the electric light bulb was a 1000 step process.

Fear is nothing to be afraid of. So yes, indeed, be brave. Fear is just a tool for us to use to motivate ourselves to become better than we are.

  • Inspiration can come from the most unexpected of places you never know when or where it is going to strike.

The things most regretted in life are the things one never tried. Give life to those ideas ruling around in your mind.

    Show the way, Kayla.

  • Hey there my sweet Kayla,

I learned how brave I could be about three months ago. My life is almost my own. My kids will come back to me. And love will most surely return. Until then, I’ll live in a little apartment and find my way all by myself. Hopefully I’ll weave a story or two. Maybe I’ll even share or secret or two with my favorite submissive.

    Love you,

    Renee

    • I love secret-sharing…

And yes, you’re right about all of that…they will, it will, and you will find yourself…and if you experience a little of what I did, you’ll be amazed at what you can do…

      Love you, too!!
